Hector, Kerry, and I kicking off the day at Bitcoin 2023 in Miami!
Departing for Bitcoin 2023 in Miami Beach! Meeting up with Hector there.
I took the opportunity with low Ethereum gas fees this morning to update my primary ENS domains to new resolvers, and also wrapped the four subnames that we have for each of us. It seems I lost the properties on thingelstad.eth
in the process. 😬 It is cool to see the subnames as full NFTs.
Thinking about making a crypto themed Wicky Thing Candle that you can only purchase via a L2 crypto network: Bitcoin Lightning, Gnosis, Arbitrum, Optimism, or Polygon. 🤩🤣🤓
Finally figured out Bitcoin Lightning transactions. Ready to use Lightning at Bitcoin Miami. Want to try? Send some Sats to sinfuljam38@walletofsatoshi.com (no longer used) or jthingelstad@strike.me. ⚡️
I claimed my ENS 6th Anniversary POAP for: thingelstad.eth, weeklything.eth, 0xjjt.eth, and magicpines.eth. Unfortunately I don’t have avatar records set for all my ENS domains. Get yours at the ENS Anniversary site.
Ethereum gas prices have been very high and sustained for a week now. This seems like the highest since the merge and the crazy highs of 2020. 🤔 I would like to upgrade all my ENS domains to the v3 wrapper but not at 100+ gwei!
I tried several times earlier to participate in the (historic?) Ethereum KZG Ceremony but was never able to get in because so many people were queued up to do it. The demand died down and thingelstad.eth was contributor 91,614 in the ceremony.
Tammy's NYC Birthday Trip Day 1
Cloudy and started raining at night.
16,424 steps.
Just claimed the POAP Tyler made for Tammy’s NYC Birthday trip to see Bono and much more. Love it! 🤩
It was cool to see the Minnebar 17 POAPs highlighted in the April 25 issue of This Week in POAP!
Minnebar, America’s “largest and longest-running technology unconference” was held at Best Buy’s corporate headquarters in Minneapolis and dropped POAPs for attendees, presenters, and organizers, as well as a POAP during a session on creating digital community with POAP (LinkedIn post highlighting the POAPs).
I also really like how the POAP images turned out.
Hector and I at Minnebar 17! I’m sporting my Community Supporter tag, as well as my awesome POAP pin!

For a technologist, I can think of no better way to spend $20 than a month of experimentation with ChatGPT Plus.
For another $20 the second best is to get a little Ethereum and DAI, create a wallet, and learn how to buy a $1 NFT on NiftyInk.
Voted for GIP-82: Gnosis DAO co-fund a community owned forest. I like all the aspects of this project and using a DAO as the organizing entity is very aligned with the potential that I see in DAOs.
I’ve been searching for a super simple way to sign strings of text with my Ethereum wallet and share that proof with anyone online and generally the options have been terrible. I had resigned myself to having to use PGP signatures. And then I found Signatorio which does exactly what I wanted! 👏
Complete Collection of 612 Series
One of my favorite NFT projects is the 612 Series by Erik Halaas of StayNftyMpls. I like that it is a local project, made by a local artist, and the landmarks are nearly all places that I have been to and have distinct memories of.
I decided that I wanted to get a complete collection of all 32 landmarks.
The rarest one of these is Al’s Breakfast, which there are only 2 of, so it is unlikely there will be any other complete collections of this series.
A big thank you to my bro-in-law Hector for nabbing me one of the first run NFTy FIGs of the Bored Ape Yacht Club. Mine is 619 of 5,000.
It is a model of BAYC #7663 which was last sold for 62 ETH on Feb 25, 2022.
I dig it. 💛
Minnebar 17 StayNftyMpls 612 Series Giveaway
Minnebar 17 is coming up on April 22nd! For the first time ever, there will be Minnebar 17 POAPs given to all attendees, presenters, and organizers. I am excited to share that there will also be a free POAP Raffle in partnership with StayNftyMpls for everyone that collects any of the event POAPs.
StayNftyMpls is a supportive community that shares, celebrates, and encourages the creativity of our community by exploring and leveraging NFTs and blockchain technology. Erik Halaas started StayNftyMpls and launched the 612 Series (also on OpenSea) as its first collection.
The 612 Series highlights landmarks around the Twin Cities area — places that many of us have memories and stories to share about. This is a local project, with local landmarks, from a local artist!
This is all completely free and for fun! And there will be thirty-two winners!
The thirty-two 612 Series collectibles are currently in the raffle.Minnebar.eth wallet. The raffle will draw 32 winners at 4:45pm on Saturday, April 22nd. The winners will be given items from the 612 Series as follows:
Once the raffle is completed, each item will be transfered to the respective winners from raffle.Minnebar.eth within three days. No action is required.
