Noticed this on my iPhone screen the other day.
What is it with the blue? These companies are supposed to be thought leaders but they can’t help but fall all over each other to have the most boring, bland and similar logos?
Where is the red? C’mon people. Make it at least seem interesting!
Minnebar 5
Another record breaking attendance for Minnebar! It’s great that even in year 5 Minnebar is drawing a large group of new people still. What a vibrant community! The group in this one session is as big as the entire group from the first Minnebar.
At the JavaScript session at Minnebar. Full house.
Checking out GPU accelerated development on the iPad session at Minnebar. This is a good reminder why mathematical thinking matters when coding.
At Intro to Git session at Minnebar. The story of git’s creation by Linus always reminds me of a story from the Bible.

After lugging all 740 pages of Team of Rivals from the library on the bus multiple times I finally caved and bought the eBook.
Find My Phone

Scape Goat beer from Big Sky Brewing.

Why do most architects write like this?
Big Move Started
Yesterday we started the big move. There have been many preparations but yesterday with the help of many family members we moved the majority of the art to the new house. “You’re moving you say?” Yes! I haven’t been writing much lately but we bought a house and closed on it on March 1st. The last three weeks we’ve had every room painted in the new house, new carpet installed and some small projects. All stuff that is great to get done when nobody is living there.
Our new house is at 53rd and Morgan in Minneapolis. Tomorrow the moving company is coming to get everything packed and ready, and on Tuesday we make the move. We’ll be in the new house after that.
We are all really excited about the new place! We are also sad to move away from a great house and friends.
