For sure! It's an important functionality to be able to backup a computer's information. When new customers buy a new iPhone, there is a mobileMe incentive for them, that increases the space they can use for their data. The iPhone assumes that the consumer already has a desktop or other PC that the iPhone can dock with. This means that the mobileMe data that Apple is assuming can be used through an iPhone requires the customer to manually save information onto the iDisk portion of mobileMe. Time machine is software already on OSX that should have the simple functionality to just update the already mirrored file structure.

Bottom line: mobileMe and Time Machine should work together, it's basically a bug that they aren't, and I hope Apple resolves this soon.

Wow, yeah I'm just finding this out. I just bought a Mac when my PC died because I just loved how the iPhone just works and so far I'm in love with the Mac too because it just works like it should. There's no forcing me to know what I can't possibly know without reading a million pages of PDF'd text.

Anyway, this is a big slap in the forehead for Apple; it should just work.
