Guest On Minnesota Public Radio's Midmorning Today

This morning I got the opportunity to be a guest on Midmorning at Minnesota Public Radio. The topic was Twitter!

We were on the 2nd hour of the Midmorning program. You can use the embedded audio player below to listen to the program right now.

It was a lot of fun to do the show. Kerri Miller was out and John Moe was guest hosting in her place. Both Julio and I were able to come into the studio and be there in person which made things really comfortable. After a while it was really like having a conversation and things just flowed.

For those of you that don’t know, Hodgman is one of the regular contributors to the Daily Show. He’s perhaps most widely known as “I’m a PC” in the Apple “Get a Mac” ads. Hodgman’s appearance was enough to keep me from even attempting any humor. It’s best to know when in the presence of a master.

I am happy to report though that this appearance on Midmorning means that I, Jamie, personally have a…

I’ve already heard from some of my pals giving me a hard time for not being at all critical of Twitter, or highlighting the fact that I one time swore the service off for three months. There is only so much that you can fit into the format, and the conversation never went that way.

I also would have loved to talk more about the “real-time web” and how that could evolve our interactions going forward, but that also didn’t show it’s head.

I was really happy to get a reference to Thinglesbot, my Twitter robot, in right at the end. Although now I should probably get him fully functional again. He no longer knows what the temperatures are.

I’ve had over 30 people subscribe to my Twitter feed from the show.

  1. Enjoyed the segment, Jamie. Some day you must tell me what an “entrepreneur-in-residence” is/does. Give Kevin my best.
