Beat Guitar Hero III on Medium

images.jpegBig day today! I beat Guitar Hero III on medium. Wahoo!

I don’t think I’m even going to attempt hard. It just seems rather insane. I’ll be happy with this milestone and enjoy my medium fame.

If you want to play some time, my friend code is 5026 3031 4382.

I don’t know how well they did it in GH3, but the earlier Guitar Heroes had a difficulty curve that were a thing of beauty.

The first time you see expert, you’re like “whoa. No human can do that”. I think I failed my first hard song in something like 17 seconds.

And yet, when you get to the end of medium, or get stuck towards the end of expert, the next difficulty level is just enough harder than what you can do to make it interesting, and it introduces just the right number of new mechanics.

I’m not a great game player – not even close, but I got to the point of being able to play GH1 on expert. And I wasn’t playing obsessively or anything. Give it a try – you might be pleasantly surprised.

I don’t know, Mero13. It seems to me that people who use the word suck kind of suck. And people who use the character u instead of the word you.

  1. It’s a Wii Christmas | thingelstad.com - December 30, 2007

[...] It’s very possible that my friends and family think I need to have more fun. There must have been a vast conspiracy to hit me with a bunch of new games for my Wii this year. And how completely great! Here are the additions to my Wii gaming library from this Christmas. These games are all new, so I haven’t played them extensively yet (unlike Guitar Hero III). [...]
